Both Chris and Corey have served as advisors to national trade organizations, as medical educators for the largest distributor of natural products to integrative practitioners and physicians (2), and as prominent speakers and advisors to healthcare practitioners and executives of the dietary supplement industry (3, 4). They are both graduates of Northwestern Health Sciences University (6) and Functional Medicine University (6).
Chris loves to play in the great outdoors. You may be able to find him camping, fishing, skiing, or completing another Ironman triathlon at any given time. He is a graduate of the Kalish Institute for Functional Medicine. His pre-med degree in Sports Science is from Northern Michigan University where he met his wife who is a nurse practitioner for HealthEast in Woodbury, Minnesota. They have a son and two happy golden retrievers.
Corey is a former research-scholar at NASA-Langley. He completed a master’s degree in human nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, his pre-med degree in chemistry from Valparaiso University, as well as degrees in nursing and phytotherapeutics. He is a graduate of the Institute for Functional Medicine’s AFMCP program (7). He maintains board-certification in clinical nutrition and integrative medicine (8, 9) and is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice. Corey is adjunct assistant professor of nutrition assessment at the School of Health Sciences and Education (10). He is also married with a son and two dogs.
